Fireside Defensible Space Consultants LLC is a private consulting company providing education, observational inspections, and written recommendations related to wildfire defensible space and home hardening best practices.

We are not a government agency, do not represent, and are not affiliated with any local, county, state, or federal fire authority. Our services do not replace inspections, clearances, enforcement actions, or determinations made by CAL FIRE, LA County Fire Department, or any Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Fireside Defensible Space Consultants does not perform, supervise, manage, coordinate, or contract for any mitigation, construction, landscaping, vegetation removal, or repair work. All recommended work is to be performed by the property owner or contractors independently selected and managed by the property owner.

Our services are consultative only and are based on:

Visual observations made at the time of inspection
Publicly available guidance, including CAL FIRE and local fire authority defensible space standards
Conditions visible and accessible at the time of the site visit

We do not guarantee compliance, fire resistance, property protection, or outcomes of any kind. Wildfire behavior is unpredictable, and compliance with defensible space standards does not ensure a structure will survive a wildfire event.

Conditions on a property may change after the inspection due to weather, vegetation growth, maintenance practices, construction, or other factors. This report reflects conditions only as observed on the inspection date.

By engaging Fireside Defensible Space Consultants, the client acknowledges and agrees that:

Final compliance determinations rest solely with the applicable fire authority
Implementation of recommendations is the responsibility of the property owner
Fireside Defensible Space Consultants assumes no responsibility for work performed by third parties
